I hope this finds you surviving and at least sometimes thriving. ❤ This year has brought some of the best and worst experiences of my life. For today, I’ll share a little bit of the good.
I recently had the pleasure of chatting with Laura Joyce Davis for her podcast Shelter in Place. We covered a lot of ground, from “getting” poetry to overcoming personal despair to transcending the current political impasse.
And two poems from Borderline Fortune appear in the latest issue of Parentheses: “Disenthrall” and “Fortune.” The print version includes full-color artwork. Thanks to the journal and poetry editor Sneha Subramanian Kanta.
Other excerpts from the forthcoming book appeared this year in Empty Mirror, can we have our ball back?, and 8 Poems. In the next couple of months, I should have a cover design to share with you. Vaccinations willing, I’d like to invite you to an in-person launch in Seattle in October.
May we back our hopes with action to bring them into being. Take good care of yourself and the world until then.
